I believe that children need both parents and that the Divine Plan includes input from both a father and a mother in the rearing of children. The typical county visitation schedule which has one parent not seeing his or her child for 14 days is hard on the child. Small children do not have long-term memory capabilities. When you say, "We're going to see Barney on Thursday," all that the child understands is Barney. Small children do not understand Thursday. For this reason, frequent visits with both parents are best.

Since becoming a Central Oklahoma family lawyer in 1975, I have worked to maintain a presence in the Oklahoma legal community. I am a member of the Oklahoma State and Cleveland County bar associations. I have a Bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology and believe that my certification in domestic relations mediation makes me additionally capable of assisting you in walking through the litigation process with the least amount of scars.

Additionally, I am knowledgeable about alcoholism and chemical dependency. I believe that many litigants are alcoholic. I am a dedicated member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Norman, Oklahoma. I volunteer at Food for Friends and other community agencies. I serve on the board at the Norman Alcohol Information Center (NAIC), I teach domestic relations to legal assistants at the Oklahoma University Law School, and am a graduate of Leadership Norman, which is a program that seeks to identify and encourage community leadership.
